It's early afternoon.  In between naps the owlets preen and look around.Nearby, one of the parents keeps a close eye.The owlets are getting more curious about their surroundingsWings can be handy when you lose your footing.Later in the afternoon the other adult shows up with something in its talon.It looks over towards its mate . . . a signal perhaps?Within seconds, the second adult flies over.Looks like a prey exchange is about to happen . . .And there's the hand off . . .The excited owlets are ready and waiting for this meal.It's dinnertime.
